  • How often do you add new pieces.
Sculptures can take from weeks to months to complete so they are a little slower to come to life but we will try to add them every couple months. Yard art will likely be added seasonally. Photographs will be added monthly. If you are looking for anything specific be sure to ask if we have any images in our inventory! Pendants, Earrings and Bottle Stoppers will all be added often.
  • How do you find the stones you use and how do you tumble them?
We are lucky to live in an area that has a vast amount of beautiful stones on the beachs. We collect most of the on our beach and mountain hikes. We have a double barrel rock tumbler that holds 3# of stones in each barrel. The process uses 4 different grits and takes 40 days to shine stones. Two of the grits take the bumpy edges off and the other two bring out the luster and shine. It's a little loud so our tumbler lives in our garden shed!
  • What kind of leaves do you use for your concrete garden leaves?
Mostly we use rhubarb leaves as they offer nice veins for contrast although many vegetable leaves can be used. We have done Cauliflower and Brocolli leaves too.
  • Can water features be made from the concrete leaves?
Absolutely, we can provide whatever number of leaves you want that will nicely spill into each other for a beautiful water feature circulating into a pond or a large concrete leaf. A small pump and some tubing will be needed to circulate the water. They are easily found at any home improvement store with a pond section. We would be happy to work with you to create a beautiful water feature. These are a combine effort with a bit of a DIY on your part. They really are beautiful!
  • Do you make custom jewelry pieces?
We do! We would be happy to show you a variety of stones and wrap styles you to choose from. Given that each stone is different, earrings don't match completely. We try to create similar pieces unless you choose something entirely different. That's ok too! All our pieces are one of a kind.
  • What companies do you suggest for quality photographic enlargements?
This is such a fun opportunity! There are are a number of resources and pricepoints for enlarging images on a variety of mediums. Be creative! We have images on glass, metal, slate, canvas and photo paper. You can have notecards made, bags, pillows, your imagination is the limit. We invite you to use our images as you see fit. I like to change images seasonally in our home so I look for affordable, interesting possibilities. Costco.com is very affordable and offers nice quality. I opt to pick up images at our nearest Costco and have no shipping fee that way. Groupon has a variety of possibilities. Printerpix; Canvasondemand and a variety of others offer nice savings via Groupon. I have also used local photo labs. Every area has their own local businesses who are great! In addition, if you have a home printer the quality can be quite good and you can rotate images in your existing frames.
